Meet Port Townsend Main Street
Port Townsend Main Street is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving, promoting and enhancing the historic business districts, including both Uptown and Downtown. Guided by the nationally recognized Main Street Four-Point Approach, Design, Economic Vitality, Promotion, and Outreach, we work to care for historic places, support local businesses, create vibrant events and public spaces, and foster impactful partnerships keeping the districts strong and thriving year-round.

Flower Basket Maintenance Program

Each summer, Port Townsend’s iconic Hanging Flower Baskets add color, charm, and life to our downtown streets—welcoming visitors and delighting locals every day. These baskets are a small detail that make a big impact on how our community feels and looks.
Wax on Water
Once a month June – September
Join us as we transition from day to dusk. Wax on Water is a celebration of the lush Salish Sea—where the warm crackle of vinyl meets the cool breeze of the waterfront. This new event is a collaboration between Port Townsend Main Street and Third Space Collective – featuring DJ Lunch Lady, DJ Ocean Spray, DJ Wanaka, and DJ Dawn Patrol.
Concerts on the Dock

On summer evenings in Port Townsend, the waterfront fills with music, laughter, and neighbors coming together. Concerts on the Dock is a beloved tradition—free, all-ages live music every Thursday in July and August that brings our community and visitors together to celebrate summer by the sea.
Uptown Street Fair
August 15, 2026
Uptown Street Fair is a joyful, all-day celebration of one of Port Townsend’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Featuring live music, an arts & crafts fair, the Port Townsend Farmers Market, kids’ activities, and the unbelievably brief but wonderfully colorful parade, Uptown comes alive with creativity, community, and fun.
